Important Cochrane High School Dates for Grade 8 Students

 

Grades 7&8 Band Camp

All Grades 7&8 Band students will be invited to take part in our annual Band Camp at Kamp Kiwanis! Band Camp will take place from the morning of Thursday May 13th until the end of the school day Friday May 14th. Students will be involved in musical activities to strengthen their playing skills as well as have fun enjoying the great outdoors!! Parent volunteers will be a great addition to this great time at camp! More information will be coming in early April.

Bearspaw's Got Talent Show

Bearspaw students are busily preparing for our "Bearspaw's Got Talent" Show that will take place during the day of Thursday April 1st. Program information will be available the week before the show.

Mother's Day Band Concert

All Grades 6,7&8 Band students will be performing for their families and friends at 7:00 p.m. at Bearspaw School.

Band Student Field Trip to CHS March 19th

Band students are invited to a "Behind-the-Scenes" Rehearsal of Cochrane High School's musical, "Les Mis". It will take place at CHS from 2:20 until 5:30-6:00 Fri. March 19th, 2010.

Combined Band Concert with Bearspaw Grade 7&8 Band & CHS Band

Bearspaw Band students from Grade 7&8 will be performing along with Cochrane High School Band students in the gymnasium at CHS on May 27th at 7:00 p.m. More information will be available in early May.

"Behind-the-Scenes" Field Trip to CHS to see "Les Mis"

Band students are invited to a "Behind-the-Scenes" Rehearsal of Cochrane High School's musical, "Les Mis". It will take place at CHS from 2:20 until 5:30-6:00 Fri. March 19th, 2010.

Grade 5 Band Rental NIght Tuesday May 4th, 2010

St. John's Music will be at Bearspaw School in the Band Room at 6:30 p.m. Tues. May 4th for families who wish to rent band instruments. Band students are welcome to buy or rent their instruments from other stores. St. John's Music store sponsors Rocky View Schools and CBE schools, making almost weekly trips to our school for instrument service and repairs. Students who will be playing the flute, clarinet, alto saxaphone, trumpet or trombone will need to rent or buy their instruments. Students who will be playing the tuba, baritone, bari saxaphone, tenor saxaphone, or french horn can rent their instruments from Rocky View Schools at a cost of $210 for the school year, with the option of a $30 refund if the instrument is returned in good condition.
